COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE

The University of Delaware College of Agriculture and Natural Resources requested assistance in determining the feasibility of converting the current Girl Scout Building, located on South College Ave, into studio spaces, classrooms, and offices. Significant repair to the HVAC units and complete replacement of the roof must be included in the limited construction budget. FCA reinvented the layout to promote interaction between students and teachers, both inside and outside of the building. Open studio spaces, multi-purpose room for large teaching group, workshop space for landscape construction, an outdoor amphitheater, and minor site modifications were all incorporated to encourage this interaction.
