This new 255,000 s.f. 1000 student Vocational/Technical High School is located on a 113 acre site. The design is anchored by a 16’ wide central hall that serves many program spaces. These include a 1200 seat gymnasium, a media center, computer laboratories, a central outdoor courtyard, and a 600 seat lecture hall. The residential construction wing has a large 28’ common high bay area that is surrounded by six vocational shops . The aesthetic concept for the exterior of the building was an agrarian / technical style with barrel vaulted roofs and an entry tower symbolizing a silo.
